The last month. . .

Sorry it has been a while since the last post but here it is. . .
I have had ingrown toenails for a while now and finally grew the courage to call the foot doctor to get them removed. Jon had had the same procedure a few years back and I was with him when they did it. It honestly looked painful. That is why I was holding out on getting them removed
The procedure was actually not bad at all. I just couldn't watch them give me the shots in the toes to make my toe numb. But other than that I watch the entire thing. hahahahaha! They killed the root of the nail on the sides where I had the ingrown toenails so that it will not happen again. It has been over 3 weeks since the nails were removed and they are still healing for the fact that they were so deep. I guess that is what happens when you let them go and on of the the nails so to deep that the nail is trying to poke out the top of your toe. The funny thing was that I didn't feel any pain with them unless someone or something hit my toes. I would have to say though that it is nice to not have to worry about them any longer.

We noticed on Friday, July 2nd that Natalie popped her first tooth. I don't know if you can see it in the picture but I will try and get it again and post it.

Natalie hasn't popped another tooth yet but we are waiting for it.

The 4th of July 3rd of July was a lot of fun. First of all my Dad and I save spot for the Murray parade the night before. We were surprised how fast the spots went. But we were able to save enough spots for everyone.

My family (left to right) Dad (looking down at something), Richard, Amanda, Mom and Mekensy and Arcadia on the blanket in the front.

The rest of the fam. . .Carl, Andrea and Little Natalie in the stroller.

My good friends. . . (left to right back) Sindra, Brian, Devin holding baby Grace and Paul. (left to right front) Abbie, Cami, Heath and Hailey. ** We missed Jodi, Matt, Kymbree and Matt's mom sadly they weren't able to make it. **

I love the look she was giving me. She was just to interested in the parade to turn and give me a picture without the look. hahaha! Natalie love just watching everyone pass. She is definitely a people watcher.

Arcadia and Mekensy waiting for them to throw candy.

Also that day my family went to Lagoon. I haven't been in a while and I didn't know how Natalie would handle being there all day. Jon doesn't like Theme Parks but I love them. But Jon had to work that day so he wasn't to upset that he couldn't go. haha! It was the perfect weather for a Lagoon day. Not to hot that all you could think about is going swimming and not too cold that you wanted to go home. It was perfect.
The stamp was huge for the passes we got. It didn't even fit Natalie's hand completely.

Arcadia and Mekensy couldn't wait to go on all the rides they could. Natalie was too little still, of course, to go on any ride other than the Carousel.
Though Natalie couldn't ride any rides she loved watching the people walking by. I was amazed about how well she did.
Natalie and I waiting for her cousins to finish her ride. I am glad that I found this hat. She does just fine with it on other than if it pulls down over her eyes. She kind of looks like a fisherman. . . doesn't she?

It was a great day! Thank you Mom and Dad for the fun family Lagoon day.
Natalie went for her first swim Tuesday July 6th in Grandma Habel's pool.

First time in the water with Daddy.

She chilled the entire time. Relaxing and enjoying the pool.

Natalie's complete swimming outfit that Grandma Habel got her.

Natalie turned 6 months on July 8th. She is getting big her stats are. . .

16 lbs 1 oz
(60th percentile)
26 3/8ths inches long
(60th percentile)
about 17 inches
(30th percentile)

For the last week of so Natalie has also started crawling. . .

According to the Doctor she is ahead of schedule on sitting up, rolling over and crawling. But no surprise there when her cousin started walking when he was 10 months. I guessing it is a Whitehorn gene. There have been times I catch her in the kitchen. She is not fast yet but  I don't doubt she will get there. We have also caught Natalie partial able to pull her self up on something to stand. But since Jon would palm Natalie she would grab his arm with her feet and try to stand up.
Sorry it is sideways. . . this is Jon catching Natalie as she tries to stand.

In other news. . . . . Our central air conditioning slowly stop working over a course of a week. One of the days it reached up to 92 degrees upstairs. During that time we started camping out downstairs. It was kind of fun while it lasted. But we got it working again and are now enjoying the entire house now.

Well that is all for now.

Lot of Love,
Mo

Catch up!

It has been about 2 months since I posted last. Hopefully this isn't too long. We have been busy with Natalie, family, work and friends. Well to begin in March. . .
Jon and I were outside looking at the yard to see what needs to be done. Well that was Natalie's first time outside in the sun without it raining or snowing. lol She was so small then.

Natalie had her first Disc golf course run. I carried her around in one of those backpack-front pack things. By the 16th hole she was worn out and fell asleep. Now every time we go she sleeps well after. But before she falls asleep she laughs and talks to every one playing.
She was out like a light. I couldn't stop laughing at how asleep she was. :)

Now onto April. . .

She also started suck on her hands and fingers or anything she can grab and suck on she will. She also loves the bumbo. When it's time for dinner i put her in it and she just sits there on the counter and watches me cook.

Easter came and went. But my favorite part was picking out Natalie's dress. The Easter bunny did come and brought a bunch of new toys for Natalie.

Don't worry Jon was mowing his mom's lawn and I decided to see if Natalie likes the grass of not. As I have heard from others some babies don't like the feeling of grass at first. Well I don't know if her look was "Why am I here Mom?" or "What is this new feeling?" or "What is that noise I hear?" She seemed to be okay with it. And since then she seemed to not really like the grass.

Now onto May. . . .

Devin and Cami blessed their baby girl on May 2nd. It was amazing and you can see the happiness in their eyes. I also had the time to finally got to meet Kymbree Jo Mitchell, Matt and Jodi's baby girl.

We got the girls together. (Left to Right) Natalie Lee is 16 weeks and 2 days old (3 months, 3 weeks and 3 days old), Grace Ann is 8 weeks and 6 days old (2 months and 1 day old), Kymbree Jo is 2 weeks and 2 days old.

The final and best picture! We are all done. :) (left to right) Jodi with Kymbree Jo born April 16th, 2010, Cami with Grace Ann born March 1st, 2010, Marissa with Natalie born January 8th, 2010.

Mekensy, Natalie and Arcadia

Mekensy and Arcadia chilling eating a Popsicle with Grandpa Habel when we went to visit them.

Natalie had her 4th check up and shots. She did better this time with them than at her 2 month. I didn't have to feed her to calm her down. The book that is next to her was given to her by her doctor.
Her stats @ 4 months:
13 lbs. 11 oz.
(50th percentile)
 25 inches long
(65th percentile)
 about 16 inches
(4oth percentile)

One day I was working on my scraping and Natalie was helping. :) She was making sure the circut was doing what it was suppose to be doing. lol

Jon was working on the sprinkler system and Natalie and I came out to keep him company. Our bush bloomed and I couldn't resist taking a picture of Natalie with a flower on her ear. lol

One of new things is that she likes to hold her bottle now. We have to give her a small bottle because of genetics she has inherited my small hands and can't hold the big bottles as well as the little ones. j/k.

She loves her feet now. And loves to be swung by her hands and feet. :)

And here is Natalie doing both at once. lol

Now Natalie's favorite position to sleep in is on her side in the corner. She even turns on her side when I put her to sleep for a nap on her back.

In other news we didn't do any yard work for a long time so we had a field of grass for a front and back yard. It was long enough that we could put Natalie in it and she would be lost.

Our neighbor who has a riding lawn mower came over and helped us out with the tall grass. It was really nice of him to help and it cut the time in half in just doing it with a regular lawn mower.

Well that is all for now. Hopefully I will not go as long as I did before I post again. TTYL...

Loves,
Jon, Mo and Natalie

Fun times!

In about 5 days I will be going back to work. It is going to be hard to leave Natalie for a full day. I know I am going to cry some on the first day but the day after I get to stay home with her. Before I had Natalie my supervisor approved that I could work 4- 10 hour days so we didn't have to put Natalie in a daycare. And now we have all family taking care of her while we are at work. :)
Natalie is getting so big and she is now smiling. Her Uncle Anthony bought her a tie-dyed outfit to match his shirt he got.

Anthony and Natalie @ Colorpin in there matching outfits.

The socks are a little big on her, but maybe getting baby shinguards would make them work. ;)

This last week I was given the okay to start doing physical work outs again. So I have start P90 again and been trying to do it everyday. It will be hard with a little one around who needs us. But I am confident that I am going to finish the full 90 day program. :) I was also able to play indoor soccer again! It had been a long time since I have been able to run so I was a little nervous but yet very excited to play. Honestly I did better during the soccer game than I thought I would have. I even have a mark to prove it. The good thing was when I got the mark I had won the battle. hahahaha!

Isn't it beautiful? This picture was taken 3 days after I got it. According to Jon and others it looks worse than it did before. The day after I got it, it was hard to walk on or even kneel on my knee. Now it doesn't even hurt unless you poke it.

Bath time. . .

Finally after 2 -3 weeks after Natalie was born we were able to give her a real bath instead of a wash cloth bath. Has I had been told by others, some babies like baths others don't. Well Natalie is a baby that doesn't like baths one thing because she gets cold real fast. You can just see it in her face. Cami and Devin were very kind and gave us a baby bath for Natalie. Well her first real bath was really early in the morning and Jon was trying to put it together while I was getting her ready. Well he gave up on putting it together for he had just woke up. So we just had to use a towel to prop her up. lol She was not happy at all. But yet so cute still as she cried.
I just can't help but laugh at this picture of her right after her bath. :) She was not happy till. . . . .

I wrapped her up tight in her towel and held her. Oh the joys of being a mother. :)

P.S. I was able to get the baby bath put together after and I love using it!

One month old

On Monday Feb. 8th, Natalie turned one month old. It seems like the time has gone by do fast. She has grown so much and can pretty much hold her head on her own now. I love all the faces she makes and enjoy every minute I can spend with her. It feels like it was just yesterday Natalie came home with us. I will post some pictures soon of her.

Other news. . . .In about four weeks I have to go back to work. It sounds like a long time but at the same time it will come so fast. It is hard to think that I will have to work and leave Natalie for most of the day. Good news. . . .  I am healing very well and can't wait to start playing indoor soccer again. It will be a lot of fun going back. Also trying to find sometime to workout or to even go walking is hard. It comes hard because I don't want to go outside with Natalie when the air quality is bad.  I am trying to figure out what exactly I can do with Natalie for the next few weeks.

About 2 weeks after Natalie was born Jon had knee surgery. (Yeah the medical bills are going to be high this year, but thank goodness for being able to use it on a tax deduction next year.) Jon had been experiencing knee pain since about November. He went and saw a orthopedic doctor to see what can be done. We were told that since it was his knee in which he had his ACL repaired when he was 16 they would have to do surgery to shave his Miniscious (sp?) if the pain doesn't go away in the next few weeks. Even with surgery the pain might come back in the years following. So Jon decided to wait to see if the his knee would just stop hurting and also because Natalie was coming. Well about 2 months passed and the pain stayed the same. So he had a doctor visit on the 18th of January to see if it was a for sure thing that needed to happen. And well he had surgery 3 days later.
I stayed home with Natalie, while Anthony, Mom Dott and Moses took care of Jon the day of surgery. I was still having the baby blues and cried the night before the surgery at the thought of leaving Natalie with someone else. It was out patient surgery, therefore he didn't have to stay over night and the actual surgery only took about an hour. He was able to walk on his leg that same day but had to stay home for 3 days to ice and elevate his knee for recovery. Plus he had to do some exercises about 3 times daily. He did well.
About 2 weeks later he had his follow-up/physical therapy appointment where they told us exactly what the doctor did. Well instead of just shaving his Miniscious they had to remove part of it. He was also diagnosed with Arthritis level 2 (there are 4 levels) in his knee. They said that he is recovering well and just needs to keep doing the exercises and riding a stationary bike 5 times a week to fully recover. But he will be in full working order hopefully in the next month.

That is all that has gone in the last little while. . . . .  more to come soon. ;)

Just some pictures. . . . . .

One of my favorite pictures. She was laying on my lap in the hospital wrapped in the soccer blanket my Mom's co-worker made for her.

Jon's favorite picture of Natalie and I. It was a very precious moment that he captured.

Natalie wrapped up all cute by the nurse to help her feel more comfortable with gas. She was so little all balled up. lol

Sleeping nice and sound.

Dad and daughter sleeping in.

Again Dad and Daughter sleeping together. Natalie just loves cuddling up with Dad.
